Activity Management is our next major evolutionary step in developing and strengthening our BPM capabilities in a way that is especially relevant to entity management organisations.
New features including Activity Profiles, Rule Based Auto Activity Creation, Automated and Ad-hoc Activity Scheduling, Linked Workflows, Time & Disbursements linked directly to an Activity, Activity Budgets, Estimated vs Actual Cost Activity MIS, Activity Dashboard and a powerful highly filterable Activity Explorer feature provide a drill down of all things related to Activities.
This major and exciting feature will be discussed in more detail in our Q1 2022 newsletter.
Made available in the Q4 v8 release is a new feature allowing BPM records such as Workflows and Activities to be assigned to Workgroups rather than directly to individual users as they are were previously.
This very useful development allows for actionable items to be pooled pending assignment to individual users for completion.

The existing attributes feature has had its scope extended to include a ‘Jurisdiction and Entity Type’ specific attribute.
For those not currently using Attributes they are a very useful configuration option that allows certain templates, such as workflows and reports, to be configurable as available only when very specific criteria are met, for example: Workflows available for selection are linked to a particular client or the reports available to a specific team are different to the general workflows available to other colleagues.

The much-anticipated User Role based v8 Dashboard Widget control settings are now available in v8.
User now only see dashboard widgets that have been preconfigured as being available to their Viewpoint authorities. This provides Managers to have different view to general operations colleagues.
The interesting design of the feature allows organisations to set, for each of the numerous dashboards, which widgets are mandatory and, which can be optionally activated or deactivated by each user.
