Though it might seem that all of our development attention is focussed on the new Version 8, this could not be further from the truth. Viewpoint is very aware that even though a major upgrade process is straightforward, it is not something that our clients want to do on a regular basis. As such, we have been concurrently continuing our development and support of Version 7.5.75+.
Combining both the Viewpoint July and October releases sees more than 200 enhancements being added to our solutions. Below are just a few examples of how Viewpoint is constantly evolving and improving its solutions, to ensure that it remains the leading entity management solution used by professional practitioners the world over:
Continued support of current releases
Differing from some other entity management software providers, which force clients to switch to new products to get new enhancements or support – Viewpoint will continue to support its current release for at least 2 years after the introduction of a new major release.
Examples of v7.5 enhancements:
Business Process Management (BPM)
More than 35 enhancements have been added to Viewpoint BPM workflows, including furthering the scope of the powerful automated macro functionality that updates the database directly from the workflows. The recent addition of 40 more macros, extends the scope of the macro capability to auto-update 40+ screens directly from the workflow. This allows data to be reviewed and confirmed prior to committing it to the database – a much-valued governance capability used the world over.
Entity Types
Extending the global capabilities of Viewpoint Connect and Engage, we are pleased to confirm that entities types have been recently added and/or the configuration updated for the following countries:
Australia
China
Ecuador
Israel
Mexico
Hong Kong
Scotland
Linked Items
The ‘Linked Item’s’ feature, enables useful items such as file notes, workflows, documents, time entries, and binders to be linked to specific records in a screen – for example linking a copy passport to an individual or title deed to property in Fixed Assets.
Below are 14 more additional screens to which the linked Items feature has now been added:
