We are delighted to announce that as part of Viewpoint’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, we have made a GBP3,000.00 donation to a very worthy local Channel Islands charity: Brighter Futures. www.brighterfutures.org.je
Brighter Futures are a small Jersey charity focused on helping families with young children to recognise their role as their child’s first and most important educator, and since founded in 2008, Brighter Futures have supported over 2,200 families, benefitting over 8,800 Islanders.
Working alongside the main carer, Brighter Futures’ educational model provides families with the tools to cope. Families are referred to Brighter Futures for a number of reasons such as poverty, disadvantage, social isolation, wellbeing, postnatal depression, stress, anxiety, domestic abuse, and substance misuse, to name just a few.
By offering Key Worker, Group/One to One support Brighter Futures provide a range of programmes which address three crucial key areas of family life: parent and child relationships, wellbeing and positive mental health, and, personal development and second chance learning.
Speaking about the donation, Marcella Ronayne, Client Servicing Director of Viewpoint Channel Islands, said “With all the great things there are in the Channel Islands it is all too easy to overlook the reality that some families really do need help in so many different ways. Brighter Futures is a lifeline to so many, and we are absolutely delighted to be able to contribute to help them continue to help others.”
